The business was founded in 1986 by Edward L Swan FCCA. He qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 1975 having trained in a
professional practice, in commerce and also in local government finance. After qualifying he had periods working for PWC, one of the largest
CA firms, and IBM, before going to work abroad in the oil industry for 4 years. On his return he decided to fulfil an ambition to set up his own
accountancy practice and took up an opportunity based in Paisley.
The practice currently has over 90 clients of various sizes - from taxi operators, to motor factors and building companies with £1m turnover,
some of whom have now been with the practice for 20 years. Numbers are maintained around this level so that a personal level of service
can be provided. Clients phoning our office speak to Ed himself or his assistant, directly, or within a short space of time if we are unavailable.
Having been in operation since 1986, we have considerable experience in all aspects of business accounts and taxation. We focus on
the small to medium sized business and can provide general advice on various financial matters that may arise.
Supporting staff are fully experienced in preparing accounts or Tax Returns and advising clients regarding book-keeping and tax.
As members of the ACCA, the largest accountancy body in the UK, we have to operate under and comply with the ACCA rules and
regulations governing our work.
We are also authorised as Registered Auditors and can carry out audit work for companies and charities.
